1st motorcycle trip to the Keys!

Hi everyone, here are some of the highlights of our motorcycle trip down to the Keys..........What a blast. The ride was amazing, so serene being surrounded by the turquoise water.
The company was so much fun, the accomodations were cool, and the food so good!! Drinks were good too:):)........
The out of the way retaurant is lined with American $ bills stapled to the walls and ceiling, it truly DOES feel like a cave when you walk in, but the food is amazing!........The sangria even better :)
The architecture is so beautiful, Mallory Square is where the buskers, the cruise ships and the "falling sunsets"......100's of people line up to take pics. Downtown is a bustling mesh of "whatever", very cool for people watching:).......I can imagine this is what New Orleans or Vegas is like.
"Needless to say," as you can see, I rode on a bigger goldwing with someone else, other than Martin............we now realize, that we need a bigger bike than the 800 Kawasaki Vulcan:):)
Hope all are doing well, Hugs to all!
Lisa, Martin and Chester  :):)

Biking "gang"

Hi everyone, here is some of the biking group we ride with on Sundays......this day we rode some of the back farm roads to get us some fried chicken for lunch........Mmm! Beautiful ride, but was not holding the camera while riding.

The tree shots are of our backyard, we are so proud of our transpiring yard. An Aunt gave us a palm and mahogany tree 3 years ago, they are starting to give some shade in the back, which we're very happy about.

We go with 5 other couples to the Keys next week on the bikes, stay in Key west........WooHoo!! I can't wait. Will post pics for sure.
Chester is healing well.......down to 1 times a week dressing and splint changes.

Got a call from the PS vet, they reimbursed me some money on my VISA, which I am glad about..........not ecstatic, but, I was able to express to her, the importance of this being a learning experience.......thankfully she was willing to receive this as a lesson.
Take care!
Stay warm, but........be cool! :)

Back South/year 4

We made it to Florida, no problems, except, we have been home for only 4 days now and for 2 days my kitty Chester and I were at the vets.......his original splint that was put on, cut into him and got infected, so he had general anaesthesia, IV antibiotics, 2 weeks of oral antibiotics, 2 new splints, and dressing changes every 3 days, for 1 more week, then every week, and re x-ray in 6 weeks to check for bone growth and resplint.................of course the Orthopaedic vet thinks I SHOULD be doing surgery, but...............I've worked with ortho surgeons, soooooo.....:):)
ANYHEW!!! Otherwise our phone now works..........the weather is beautiful, we stopped off in Tenn. on the way down again, had a nice visit with martins cousin/beau and Aunt/Uncle. We will have a relaxing beach day, to mellow..........We are all fine.......Glad to be back and see all of our friends here.
Take care everyone!
Stay warm, but.......be cool!

(notice the different hues of blue/green of the splints)..........:):):(:(

On the way home to Canada! 2011

Hi everyone, here are some pics of Martin, Chesters and my visit with cousin Regina in Severeville,Tennessee, near Gatlinburg, along the way home. I mentioned the New Titanic exhibit, if you can make it, I would highly recommend.....very interesting! We were pleasantly surprised that her brother Butch and the boys were visiting at the same time, we had such a good time together, and the shopping is amazing here. She has a beautiful large log home up in the hills, with her own access to Douglas Lake, just down the back hill. The views are phenominal............Enjoy!
Hope all are well!
