Riding to Sanibel/Captiva Islands

 Hi everyone, just wanted to share some highlight pics from our motorcycle trip with friends in the park yesterday......WOW!! What a beauty of a ride......will defiantely go back:)

New Music and interests!

Hi everyone, hope all are well, we have been busy watering all of those new gardens, and are now in the process of building a back patio. I have made a few changes with my interests this year. I decided not to sing in the Belles, and have instead picked up the harmonica and are playing with a guitar group down here, I have been wanting to play for years....so much fun!! (I found a cool 7 piece set). I am volunteering for an animal adoption group, most volunteers are from Canada, no euthanasia, so I get to play with the kitties until they are adopted......OMG!!! it reminds me of when I had Chester and his sister and brother......so sweet! I'm at the Tikihut on Wed.'s, at the baseball field (I am the condiment girl), for the dogs/sausage:).....all is well, we are just starting to put up Christmas decorations....will send pics soon,

5th Season:)

Hi everyone, well......here is our 5th winter here in Bonita Springs on the way now!

We had an uneventful trip coming down.....Yeah!! Everyone has all of their bodyparts in tact.......
double YEAH!! Martin and I both had headcolds when we got down, but.......all better now:)

We are back into the "swing of things" down here, martin is playing pregame softball, I am back with my singing, and this year, I volunteer on Wednesdays at the Tikihut, as the condiment gal:)...a very fun group!

We have been very busy doing some garden planting......very pleased with the results, a combination of flower gardens, palms, aloe, and a raised bed for tomatoes and herbs, and......attempting to grow some Canadian garlic.....

We have seen some pics from family/friends back home......and we ARE aware that the snow has begun, so I won't discuss too much about weather:)......but for Florida, it IS quite chilly down here in the nights...great for sleeping, in the 50's, and the mid 70's for the days...........perfect for gardening. Next is patiostoning:).......then we can relax!!

Frankenmuth,Michigan softball Tournament

Hi everyone, here are some highlight pics of Martin and I at the Annual Good Neighbour games, in Frankenmuth, Michigan last weekend. This is the softball group from Florida, there were almost 300 people this year. 1 year it's in the US, the next in Canada........great way to see parts of each Country that you might not otherwise go visit.
Frankenmuth is known for it's Bavarian architecture and German ancestry. It is also home of Bronner's World's largest Christmas store, open 361 days a year........very fun and festive:) The whole Town is very pretty and quaint, with many good restaurants to choose from, including cheese, fudge and chocolate haus's........Enjoy!

Hi everyone, we made it home safely with sunshine following us the whole way:). We found a great place to stay and eat in a town called Dry Ridge in Kentucky on the I-75. The Comfort Inn was good for Chester because we were able to open the windows a little to let in fresh air and it faced a wooded area..........much calmer than a parking lot with cars coming and going. The restaurant was recommmended in the "Along I-75" book........it's called The Country Grille and we highly recommend:) Martin had sauteed chicken livers and I had homemade meatloaf...and mac and cheese........MMM!!!!

Hiking in Florida:)

Hi everyone, here are a few pics of the last 2 days we spent hiling in our Estero area. There is a great State Park, that not too many people know about, it has some very cool terrain that some might recognize from pics in the past. The other park, Bonita Springs area, just behind our local Riverside park, we went to see for the first time, after a newspaper feature. Small, but very nice.
This R&R has been very nice before we head back home in a week.

Last day with Mom/2012

Here are some pics of our last day with Mom on April 1st, before she had to go to the airport for a 4 O'clock flight. We were able to make it a pool day, so she could top off her tan........she is now home, but it sounds like the weather is getting nice there too. Chester looks for her in her room, and Martin and I miss her company, but are enjoying some R&R together, before we go back home ourselves in a couple of weeks.
