Key West in 2013:)

Hi everyone, just sending on some highlight pics from our trip down to The Keys again. Mallory Square, and Duval Street were just as entertaining as before:) The Wild Bird Sanctuary in Key Largo was very interesting and entertaining. Martin has torn his meniscus in softball:(, but.........luckily and surprisingly the insurance company is allowing the surgery to be down here in Florida........PHEW!! So, we drove the truck down and carried luggage, beverages, and brought the orchids back for all. I was able to ride with one of the guys across the bridges to give one of the wives a break on her back..........LUCKY Me:).....I love the smells and feelings of freedom and abandonment motorbiking across the open water on both sides........nothing like it:)

Our 6th season:)

Hi everyone, we got down safe and sound, just a couple "blips" along the way with a couple witnessed accidents.....luckily we did not become a part of!!.....PHEW!!! Definitely was saying a prayer to St. Christopher:)........and Thanks!!
I just wanted to post some pics of our gardens:).so pleased that the flowers "took" so well, and the rosemary "bush" is crazy!! I already gave a ton away, and we planted the basil, and tomatoes. I am trying garlic again and cilantro:)

It rained more this summer, so we were told there were many "lakes", but luckily not too many places had flooding. I am already signed up for a Panther Refuge do in Naples next week...then Martin and I join our motorbike group for another trip to The Keys!!....WooHoo!!.........I can't wait!

Sunday's Best:)

Hi everyone, just wanted to post pics from our last Sunday of this year here in Bonita Springs Florida. We had such a great day, biking with the group on our new motorbike, and then to a Golf and Country Club down in Naples, dancing down by the beach, on the Gulf.
Great band.......LOVE the atmosphere, dancing outside and in the rain when it sprinkled......One of my best Sundays EVER!!

New Bike:)

Hi everyone, as of Easter Sunday, we are new proud owners of a 1500 Kawasaki Vulcan......WOOHOO!!
Martin and I were just going for a walk on Easter Sunday, and happened to walk past a couples home, who we know, but don't hang with. They yelled hello, and we went to talk to them, and the bike was sitting right there.......we admired! Jim said, "he has just listed in on Craig's list". We said we were interested, went home to get helmets..............and that was it:)
I feel so much safer, and definitely more comfortable:)....

A hint of nature:)

We were able to bring Tim to one of my favourite hiking areas here, the Corkscrew Bird Sanctuary.
This is the place that we brought Mom, it has a boardwalk all through the Cypress forest and lots of good bird watching and gator sightings:)......just nice for a picnic and hanging out in the "real" Florida terrain!

Tim's visit:)

Hey everyone, hope all is well!! Enjoying my friend Tim's visit.....he arrived from TO yesterday, we had lunch in Naples, then brought him to Fort Myers for dinner/dancing to a fantastic local blues band, Deb and Dynamics, at the Holiday Inn on the beach.....danse danse danse:).......Today we had a day at the beach.......more dancing to follow. I am so glad that I have tapped into the local music here......played the harmonica this AM. at the synchronized swimming show. We were asked to play on Monday during the dinner crowd at our rechall:)......WooHoo!!
We will be on our way back in 3 weeks.................look forward to seeing some of you soon!!

Volunteering at Panther refuge

 Hi everyone, here are some highlight pics of my day at the Panther refuge, where I helped register the public to come and listen about our local Florida Panthers and go on tours regarding the wildlife and plants in the area.
I had a blast!! It was so interesting and nice to be outside, waking up with the day:).....it's been a while..........I had to be there by 7am, so I was on the I-75 by 6......I was able to join in on a wild orchid swamp walk and buggy ride........then some gator viewing:).....
